a230

I have been asked time and time again about this card and so thought I would share the details. The pattern is Ann's Paper Art a230 and the 3d sheet, St. Light STAPPOT02, is one of my absolute favourites.

You can buy also combination set from the webshop to create the card using Combination Set a230.

a441

I thoroughly enjoyed stitching this pattern, Ann's Paper Art a441, as I love the swirls.

I combined it with sheet CardDeco HJ5102 and finished with a simple floral corner punch and pearl embellishments.

a440 & a430_B

My daughters love these images from the Strawberry Shortcake range.

Ann's Paper Art pattern a440 has combined beautifully with this holiday image which I layered on to a sandy palm backing sheet and added some Prima flowers and charm from my stash.

The stitching pattern is Ann's Paper Art a430_B, layered on to bubblegum pink Bazzill paper. The corners are punched using an EK Success corner punch and combined with pearl embellishments from my stash.

Aye Aye Capt'n...... every little girl loves to dress up and this Strawberry Shortcake image is no different.

a706 & a332

Coming from a family of bikers - all I can say about pattern a706 is WOW..... a perfect Father's Day card, I created it using backing papers from my stash and then combined with a Prima flower and motorbike brad. Very simple but effective male card.

I really enjoyed stitching this pattern a332..... its' large swirls combined beautifully with the darker thread and was a perfect compliment with the gorgeous decoupage from Sparkly Bits.

Just a little note..

So that you don't think I have been sitting back with my feet up... have a quick look at my CardStitching Gallery.....

With the invaluable help from my webshop guru at webfor.me.uk you can now see nearly all of the stitching cards I have made in one simple location.

Just chose the section from the menu down the side of the screen and then scroll through the images by hovering your mouse over the image and clicking on the direction arrow.

Have fun

a439 - June 09 Freebie

This wonderful little corner pattern by Ann is the CardStitching freebie for June.

This kind of pattern is so perfectly versatile and can be combined easily with virtually type of topper you chose.

I therefore combined Pattern a439 with one of the images from the new Die Cut 'Push Out Duo' range.... simplicity itself with no scissors allowed.

For those of you that purchased a copy before they (too quickly) ran out of stock, this pattern by Ann's Paper Art was published in the Hobbyjournaal Yearbook.

I stitched it in deep yellow threads, mounted on deep yellow bazzill card and then combined with the yet another beautiful Die cut pyramid 'Antique Floral 1' from Mandy at Sparkybits.com

Hobbyjournaal 52

These two cards were made using patterns by Ann's Paper Art published within Hobbyjournaal 52.

The image above was combined with 3d Sheet Nel van Veen 2308 and mounted on a deep orange bazzill card.

The pattern below was combined with a fantastic Die cut pyramid 'Antique Floral 1' from Mandy at Sparkybits.com, mounted on a deep pink bazzill card with a few peel off corners.

a206

I really loved the results of the thread colours I used with Pattern a206. The really deep pink combined beautifully with the butterfly image on the 3d Sheet Le Suh 8215.72.

For a finishing touch, I added some of the gorgeous flat pearls from Sally's Creativecardsand scrapbooking

Joke de Vette

OK, so I strayed away from my norm with this beautiful 'Letter' pattern by Joke de Vette - made for the daughter of a friend....

Happy 9th Birthday Jessica.

a202

Yet another early design by Ann's Paper Art, Pattern a202 completely satisfies my penchant for swirls in my stitching. The frame design would compliment almost any 3d image you choose.

I went for Le Suh 8215.275 and coordinated the thread colours with the purple, yellow and green from the flowers.

a218

I love the simplicity of this pattern ..... it can be stitched as a Summer flower pattern or, by simply changing your colours, it can be used in a Christmas design.

Look out for this pattern being introduced to the Cardstitching Webshop in mid-June and combined with 3D sheet Nel van Veen 2308

Prayers

The timing of this card and pattern could not have been more perfect.

I was asked by a friend to make a card for a young lad who she was to be a prayer sponsor for at his 1st Communion.

Having never made anything like this before and being at a complete loss, I poured out my troubles to Ann. Lo and behold, the very next day this pattern was available to her forum members.

The hands were stitched in metallic thread and the verse and sentiment were foiled in silver. The topper was then mounted on silver mirror board. OK, so the photo isn't perfect because of all the reflection but you'll have to take my word that the result was absolutely fantastic (I've removed the name for privacy reasons).

HJ50, a436, a375

Does it look like I've been spending a bit of time with my flowers. I absolutely adore my garden but just never seem to have sufficient time to make it look as nice as I know it could do. My Nana was a tiny lady (with hands like garden shovels lol) who could reel off the names of any plant which dared grow in the garden. She was a wonderful gardener and I miss our walks around the garden discussing the different plants. BUT she did leave me plenty of her gardening wisdom as every time I pick up one of her gardening books, there in the margin are her notes, comments and advice.

This card was made using Ann's Paper Art pattern from the Hobbyjournaal issue 50 and combined with 3d Sheet Le Suh 8215.14. The bright hollyhocks and daffodils surrounding garden gate absolutely scream cottage garden and are to me, the the perfect idea of a perfect garden.

I love the light blue colouring on this card and dare I say it, the finishing touches of the peeloffs. I combined 3d sheet Nel van Veen 2282 with Ann's Paper Art pattern a436 - the May fee pattern in the CardStitching webshop.

I just love the bright colours of this final floral card - made using Ann's Paper Art pattern a375 and combined with the glorious 3D sheet Le Suh 4169.19.

a209 & a326

Yet another children's card combining 3d Sheet Voorbeeldkaarten 203 and Ann's Paper Art pattern a209. I was so pleased with the result of this card as the image works so well with the pattern.

After spending quite a bit of time in my garden these past few weeks, and dancing around the April showers,I had plenty of inspiration for this card by watching my beautiful lilac trees bursting into flower with their heavily scented blooms .

This bright creation was made using Ann's Paper Art pattern a326 and combined with 3d Sheet Le Suh 8215.325.

A435 & a2007_hj50

Sometimes I find children's cards a little difficult to combine with stitching but these two are perfect for my daughter's friends.

This card was made using Ann's Paper Art pattern a435 and combined with a gorgeous 3D sheet Strawberry Shortcake sheet 3. I think she is such a cutie and really reminds me of my youngest daughter (need I say more LOL).

This card was made using a pattern from Hobbyjournaal issue 50 - Ann's Paper Art pattern a2007. Again combined with a fantastic range of children's sheets - 3d sheet Voorbeeldkaarten 210.

Stiching Stickers

OK, OK, I know these have been around for a while BUT I have never actually managed to get a chance to use them. Now that I have finally been allowed to play, I have to admit they are a fantastic addition to the stitching world. They are simple to use and can be adhered to any type of card for a different look every time.

This card was made using Starform Stitching Sticker 3192 in Silver mounted on some lilac vellum and then stitched in pinks and purples. I then curved the wings of the butterfly over my curling tool to give it a 3D appearance and then attached it to my card using foam pads. I then combined it with Ann's Paper Art pattern a432.

This second card was made using Starform Stitching Sticker 3208 in Silver and combined with Ann's Paper Art pattern a224 from Hobbyjournaal issue 25.

Fashions and Forum Pattern

These fantastic fashion pyramid sheets are just sooooo wonderful, depicting fashions through the ages from the 1900's right up to the 1980's and all from Sparklybits.com - thanks Mandy.

These two sheets from the 1930's and 1940's range were then combined with a wonderful competition pattern from Ann's Paper Art Forum

Just a little note..

Although it is only April, this year has definitely been a QEII "Annus Horribilis" with hubby losing his job in January and my ops throwing a few unexpected and definitely unwanted spanners in the works.

I therefore wanted to give a little card to you all to say a great big

THANK YOU
from the bottom of my wellies
to those ladies who have been such a huge support to me during my recent surgery (you know who you all are). Your encouragement and friendship (whilst dealing with your own issues) has been absolutely incredible and I take my hat off to you all..... you are the best :)
