The timing of this card and pattern could not have been more perfect.
I was asked by a friend to make a card for a young lad who she was to be a prayer sponsor for at his 1st Communion.
Having never made anything like this before and being at a complete loss, I poured out my troubles to Ann. Lo and behold, the very next day this pattern was available to her forum members.
The hands were stitched in metallic thread and the verse and sentiment were foiled in silver. The topper was then mounted on silver mirror board. OK, so the photo isn't perfect because of all the reflection but you'll have to take my word that the result was absolutely fantastic (I've removed the name for privacy reasons).Don't forget

Just wanted to say I only found your site today and I love it. You’ve been making so many wonderful cards and they’re so cute! I write a London based crafty e-zine and blog named Extremely Crafty Ideas at http://extremelycrafty.blogspot.com/ Would love to hear what you think. I’m planning on featuring card making in an upcoming issue.
Thank you for becoming a follower of my blog. All these stitched cards are really making me inspired to do one. May I ask do you use a normal sewing machine? Do you take the foot off so it doesn't leave a mark? Best wishes!
Thanks for your comments Michele.
LOL All my cards are pricked and then stitched by hand... no machine stitching is involved.
